General Conditions & Specifications

  • Billing is done in quarter-hour (0.25 hour) increments.
  • Business hours = 8am to 8pm, weekdays (excluding federal holidays)
  • “Man-hour” definition: one engineer for four hours = 4.0 man-hours, whereas two engineers for three hours = 6.0 man-hours.
  • The first 15 minutes (0.25 man-hours) of travel to the work site, or from the work site, is included gratis. Travel time beyond that is billed at the below rates, unless otherwise specified in the contract.

For clients under contract:

  • $150 per man-hour for work/calls during business hours.
  • $200 per man-hour for work/calls outside of business hours, unless otherwise specified in the contract.
  • On-call support available for contracted clients. Typically 4 business hours for phone/email and remote support, and 24 business hours for on-site support.
  • Contracts have a minimum retainer of four (4.0) man-hours per month.
  • Contracts are generally for six months minimum, although annual is recommended.
  • Contracted clients get priority for support.

We generally recommend 8.0 to 14.0 man-hours per month. Of course, this will depend heavily on your specific needs. Some clients’ facilities need less, some need more. But those are good numbers to start from.

For clients not under contract:

  • $200 per man-hour for work/calls during business hours. Minimum two (2.0) hour charge.
  • $250 per man-hour for work/calls outside of business hours. Minimum four (4.0) hour charge.
